Whats the deal with the new up front import cost thing on ebay?
Is it mandatory when buying from the US? Is it good? How does it work?
Does the seller just ship to a company inside the uS, and then they handle the forward shipping & import costs?

Ebay wants $110 on top of the cost of the trainers & standard shipping to get them here!

They pay your import duty and VAT upfront so the shoes fly through customs.

eBay is using as a method for generating revenue. Bastards!

seller will take $200 including internal shipping... so will be $310 to my door. £203 at the current rate.

it means you cant avoid customs fees, but you also avoid paying royal mail / whoever the import fee of whataever ridiculous amount they charge now to pay hold it for you

Ask the seller to mark the item down in value to $20 and ship using Fedex or UPS insured mail.

Otherwise they're well too expensive.

Also, import fees on that purchase will be less than eBay are charging. Prolly around £35
