It belongs to Dan Chabanov, who's pretty handy at CX (Richard Sachs), road (Foundation) and mtn (forget his team). He's had more bikes than I've had hot dinners and he rates that Van Dessel very highly.

I know who Chabanov is, but the quality of the rider (or the frame) doesn't stop the bike being ugly.

Okay, I see your point. It's not the best looking bike. But it's nicely built with a solid choice of components. 6.5/10 looks. 9/10 function.

Midget sizing flatters the S5, and of course it's not as ugly as the first generation. I still can't find it in myself to like the dropped downtube, however many aeros you get with it.
