• Apologies for the lack of updates on this - the CAAAAAAAAAAD is almost ready, just waiting on some new gear cables as the ones supplied were terribly frayed and ended up being too short. Got Campag Ergo-specific ones from Transfil... not sure it was entirely necessary paying three times as much as the other types. Also, got some inline derailleur adjusters, which should be here today.

Everything has gone pretty swimmingly, apart from... Ritchey! Do they purposely make their stuff as nice but also as shit as possible? The WCS 260 stem is a lovely bit of kit, but their bolts... grrrrrr. They're made of freakin butter! All I'll say is if you've bought one, change those bolts, or just don't fit it! Tried to torque them up to 4NM a piece (1NM below the max recommended) and all 7 bolts, bar two, actually clicked on the torque wrench. The rest? Junk. Rounded off to the absolute max. Going to have fun trying to get the stem off if I ever want to adjust it...

Pics incoming this weekend, I think it looks the absolute business. And it fits about 10 x better than my 60cm Genesis with the seat post jacked up.

  • Are the screws Torx screws? I can't see in the pics. The original Allen key one's where replaced with Torx screws (Torx offer less cam-out) a short while after initial launch of the stem and if you mailed Ritchey support at the time they would replace them under warranty via the local distributor .. May still be worth a shot if they're Allen key
