Looking to trace a vehicle - have model & colour but no / partial registration number. possible without going to the ends of the earth?

Anyone? Or am I going to have trawl the car parks of West London to find the prick who tried to deck myself and the wife with his mucky white BMW X5 yesterday?

Not being facetious - Report to the police might be your best bet, unless you had old testament justice in mind.

I suspect without a full plate their response would be an even bigger Gallic shrug than usual.
