I finally reduced my shoulder ache by lowering my saddle. However instead I got some lower back pain, could this be because the saddle is level? Should I try running the nose down slightly?
Put your saddle back up. Then shorten your reach to the hoods/bars (a shorter or higher stem or both) so you can roll your shoulder back to where it doesn't end up hurting.
