• So a guy posted this as a complete restoration project on, you guessed it, Reddit.

    Now the aesthetics are one thing, but ... err ... did Raleigh ever make bikes with seat stays like that or has this thing been in a terrible crash and should never be ridden?

    Someone else mentioned from the photos of the complete set (http://imgur.com/a/YURLi) that it looks like the original rear brake didn't reach the rim which further suggested the frame is a write-off. Oh and the OP stated they noticed a crack in the dropouts - although this is possibly caused by them not adjusting the dropout width to suit the new width of the fixed wheel.

    Is this bike more than just anti-porn and also anti-rideable?

    In the grand tradition of reddit of course, the OP has thanked all the people who say it's a great bike and flat out ignored (and probably downvoted) anyone who has pointed out it's potentially dangerous flaws.

  • I am having a hard time figuring out what would cause that damage.

    Current working theory: Previous owner converted to fixed, was riding brakeless practising his or her backwards circles and ran into a parked car.
