The rims are what holds value here
Break the wheels down and sell like that
-
• #3
What i thought...but do you have any idea as to their potential realistic value?
-
• #4
Really depends on condition - £80-90 the pair

Omegas are a track rim, and a very good one at that! Hang on to them and build them on decent hubs.
-
• #6
Very good....clean....thanks for the advice.

I don't ride the track...so i will sell them to someone who would appreciate them....wonder why they are laced to a road hub...perhaps used on a trainer?

....or by a pillock. I use them as rears with very similar Wolbers (with brake tracks) as fronts. These would be a brilliant addition to any porn-worthy period track build.

Rear wheel indeed......I have just bought a set of PW on TB14....so I will be selling them....do you agree with Tenderloin's valuation...£80-90 for the pair?
-
• #10
I'd pay that, or to be more precise I'd trawl around old bike shops and jumbles and eventually pay less.
-
• #11
80-90 would does not sound like a bad valuation but you might have to wait around for a selling for a while.
I could of course be totally wrong and they might fly of the shelf.. -

I will get them stripped down and bung them on here...failing that ebay +15% to cover ebay and pp fees plus a bit for postage and open it to international buyers etc etc.
-
• #13
So you won't pay that!
-
• #14
I'm mean! But a money no object, must-have-it-for-my-pristine-wallhanger (no pedals) vanity project, would snap them up.
-
• #15
That is the going rate for those rims in very good condition. On here I'd go for £80 eBay £95
-
• #16
Would that be £80 posted or £80 plus postage?

someone buy my NOS pair then!
Set of Miche wheels [32h] front and rear takes a freewheel [currently 8 speed Sachs 14-24] on Campagnolo Omega V rims...both in very good condition but interestingly both rims do not have machined braking surfaces....so ideal for track or brakeless fixed gear.....pics to follow but what are they worth as they are or would it better to strip the wheels down to hubs and rims and sell them separately?...These are the clincher version.
Any advice or valuations would be appreciated.
