got a Scott Sub 20 (2012 I guess) available to me, so was wondering if that would be a feasible option to convert it to CX bike?
From what I see now the bars and stem will need to be changed obviously, as well as shifters and brakes will have to go off and be replaced with mechanical as got hydraulic Shimano's on now. Thinking of BB5's as cheap and cheerful option.
That's from what I see now myself.
Few question though - since it got mtb rear derailleur (either deore or xt can't remember) - will it work with road shifters? If so, which ones to choose?
It's a triple crankset which I would like to change for compact/double, so which one would be the best?
Kind of a roughly calculating I might do it on budget, I.e. not investing anything (just selling the parts off it and buying what I need instead), or is it all a mickey mouse thing and I'm better off selling it and getting a "proper" CX machine?
