Helmets ROAD & MTB

Posted on
  • So after my little incident I've decided to upgrade my helmet, found one I'm really keen on as it suits both my road riding and Forrest riding,

    Anyone got any recommendations? Cheers

  • The fit on those 2R's is so good if you have a potato shaped head.

  • Oh really whys that? I'm assuming they are fully adjustable

  • Just giving a heads up to my fellow odd cranial shaped friends. They have great adjustability, so I imagine you'll have no issues if you have a normal shaped dome.

  • Haha appreciate the heads up, trouble is no one round here has them in stock to go and try on, unless cycles uk stock them, if not I'll have to order it from chain reaction

  • For that price why not just order 2 helmets?

Also from a safety point of view in an accident with it in full face mode the attachment mechanism will be a weak spot and likely won't be as good as a single part chin bar(unless they know lots of magic I don't).

  • They were my concerns too, till I saw a destruction video somewhere online. Held up quite impressively. The buckle system is based on snowboard style ones so thy're quite secure. I'm not a downhiller but I do end up riding in locations or with people where I wish I had a full face at times, so I've been debating everytime I see a pic of it.
    This doesn't help....
