For me ED-71 is close but the rise isn't as high and therefore not quite as comfortable - it's a reasonable alternative if you cannot get Nashvilles
ED-47 just felt too loose at waist and opening at bottom of leg
ED-55 is quite tapered at leg
I like Sen's but they are low rise
Non Edwin:
I like the cut of the "made in japan" uniqlo selvedge jeans from a while back, rise is mid to high although the length is a little short for me and can only get a short turn up - quite difficult to source though in unwashed/new
At risk of being flamed I have a pair of paul smith selvedge jeans which have a high rise like the Nashville and really comfortable although they are straight leg with no taper - no idea of which model they are though and if other PS selvedge is similar
Having said all that, like you Nashvilles seem to be my favourite cut though. It's difficult to find them for less than retail - I got a brand new pair from ebay a few weeks ago for about £75 but I'd been waiting and watching for several months.
I'll be looking at some 71's then.
I have about 4 pairs of Nashvilles in various states (between 8 and 1 years old) , and was looking for a similar alternative.
I couldn't get on with the uniqlo, they are more 501 style, and didn't fit as nice.
