I have a 10 year old Trek road bike which I'm strangely fond of and hate it getting trashed on my slightly rural commute (even though this is the only action it sees).
I've toyed with getting a second, "winter" bike, but don't have the room or need for a second bike.
I have seen that Planet X are promising to bring out a version of their Titanium framed, SRAM Rival Hydraulic braked Cyclocross Pickenflick bike with mudguard and rack mounts. This seems ideal but...
Are there other options in the £1,600 bracket I should be considering?
