  • i used some of the spacers that came with light brackets

  • Tap washer(s)?

  • Does anyone have a set of these they don't want?

    Kinoko - 35mm hammered mudguards

  • They're rubbish, get something else. The stays sit inside the mudguard and act as dirt traps causing them to rub also the fittings are flimsy

  • Has anyone used p-clips with pdw's?

  • @dan - I guess you are aware that the pdw come with fittings to go over normal QR skewers... I reckon they would work with P-clips if they are mounted as low down the forks/seatstays (as close to the drop-outs as possible) - there is a fair amount of adjustment on the stays/arm bits...

  • Yes I'm aware - I have a set, but unfortunately the tabs don't clear the drop outs on the frame I'm using so I will either need to use p-clips or just sell the pdw's.

  • Could you get something like this and do some bending?

  • Where are those from?

  • Freshtripe.

  • cheers Ed

  • There are these too. If you want something less chunky.

  • Is that the same thing with the polished version?

I'm looking for silver mudguards just like that, although actually to fit 630 rims with 1 1/4" tyres.

  • I have those mudguards in 35mm. They've been perfect for about 18 months of commuting use.

  • what full length mudguards are there for 26" mountain bike wheels? anything better than sks blumels?

  • M:Part own seemed to be decent for price and coverage (lots more than 26" Chromoplastic).

  • Who can collect Race blade Long from my place in SW London for £15 ASAP? Not much used ..

  • Me, if they're black with all the bits?

  • A quick one - I've a Pompino with Avid Shorty Ultimate cantilever brakes. What's going to be my best option for a cheapish, reliable pair of mudguards that won't foul the brake straddle cables?

  • V brakes

  • I joke. I'm interested too.

  • How short do you have the straddles? I haven't had issues fitting SKS Chromoplastics under any cantis I've set up, in either pivot configuration

  • Got Chromoplastics on mine which has Avid Shorty 4 brakes. One with the supplied straddle thingy and the other with a similar straddle to the Ultimates. No issues with either.

  • Thanks both @TomvanHalen and @Cranky, will pick up a pair and give them a go.

  • Yesterday Condor had 3 pairs of narrow aluminium Salmon mudguards, without fittings, bundled together for £19 - in the bargain bin by the door. Might be a bargain for someone if you can get or make fittings.
