54cm steel lugged road build

Posted on
  • So I originally built this up for my girlfriend, who has only ever ridden fixed, as an attempt to get her interested in road cycling. Despite my attempts to convince her that gears can be fun she remained loyal to her Vigorelli (i guess i cant blame her). As a result this build has seen under 10 miles.

Although the frame has seen some action and has a fair few chips and rust spots, it is a beautifully lugged frame with interesting detailing and internal top tube cable routing. With a trip to Armourtex she'd be golden (quite literally if thats your cup of tea).

The whole build weighs in at 10.4 kilos which although not braking any records is not heavy by any means for a steel road build. Would make a great winter commuter.

    Components include:

-Bontrager bladed spoke wheelset. with brand new freehub body
-Shimano Sora 9spd Shifters (2nd hand some scratches)
    -New Sora rear derailleur
    -2nd hand 105 front derailleur
-New Sora hollowtech II compact chainset
    -Tiagra hollowtech II BB
    -New Tiagra 9spd cassette
    -New sram pc950 chain
    -New sora brake calipers
    -New hutchinson equinox 23c tyres
-Caged MKS pedals and foot straps
-Aero seat post and Turbo saddle

    I am asking £300 ONO
Collection from Acton W3 or Shepherds Bush W12 or will deliver at buyers expense.
