It only has to stay quiet for today and tonight I'll give the chainset a proper clean and relube. I just couldn't be arsed yesterday - after spending all day in the cold on the bike the last thing I want to do is stand around in the cold, cleaning everything on it. It was lucky to get a wash at all.

Cleaned the chain yesterday. Didn't relube it. Cleaned the jockey wheels this morning and spotted a stiff link so fixed that. Then doused the derailler with that red can of stuff you get everywhere (not coke, the spray lube/degreaser/water repellent/whatever). Everything was tickety boo this morning.
I wonder what the wear rate of a chain is lubed vs. unlubed?
