Done, not sure about eh description of "lung busting climbs" considering I'm now carrying a double rollover weight from 2 Christmases at least.
Presumably do-able fixed still?

Yeah it's doable, the climbs are steep but short. I did it on my SS with a fair few pints of ale at the lunch and didn't need to dismount. There was some grunting and the odd zig zag up Canonbie though.

I remember heading up Maze Hill in Greenwich last year when a couple on a tandem screamed past. I saw them at the pub afterward, they explained that they were shaking down the bike for a round the world trip (IIRC or something like that)
