It will fit but there will be no auto focus. Its a great lens but not the best for manual work. You need Af-s or Nikon call them G ;) if you want manual lens then you will be witha proper manual lens ai or ai-s

Apologies for the slow reply - I've uploaded some pictures of the glass as requested. It's had filter over the front end since the day I bought it and I can't see any signs of mould / blemishes on the glass.

Thank you to MrMoar for clarifying the focus situation - there's no motor in this lens so if you want autofocus, you'll need to make sure the camera body can drive it.
