Hi hoping someone can answer this.

Will a campag 10 speed cassette fit a campag 9speed hub?

Is 9/10/11 all the same hub wise?

Only thing to be careful of is the lockring. Some mid-90s hubs use a different lockring to the newer cassettes.

You also need to be just a little careful about the lockring if you are starting on an 11T top sprocket - Campagnolo cassettes come supplied with the correct lockring for the size of top sprocket (as you would expect) but if you have one of the older bodies that requires a differently-threaded lockring from the current type, you'll need to take the size of the smallest sprocket into account.

Another Campag cassette question, if anyone's still on this thread - my girlfriend is after a granny gear on her road bike (which has a fine range of gears for normal riding, but last time we went touring, the hills were a bit tricky for her fully loaded).

She's got a 9spd Mirage rear derailleur, with the biggest sprocket 26t. Front inner ring is 34 or 35. Does anyone know what's the biggest rear sprocket she could fit without having to change the derailleur too? Or could she (for instance) get a smaller front ring, like a 32t?

Currently been trying to do something similar to my new Dolan, if the front crank has a BCD of 110mm (which it will if its compact) then the smallest chainring you can have is a 34. The biggest rear sprocket that is rated to work with campy derailleurs is 29t as far as I am aware but people say that if you can find a 30t that fits then that should shift ok too.

Million dollar question though is where can you pick up a 29 or 30t cog from ?? I know the 9 and 10 speed cassettes are the same its just the spacers that are different so either will fit. But where to get from is the question. Would love one myself Too
