You can have fun with riding lo pro road bike in unoficial competitions, day and night races, etc. I have 1986 lo pro basso/mavic ssc project. Unfortunately it is not good for Italian L Eroica according the rules, but I am planing to address a direct question to ask organisers for 1986 lo pro as it is correct circa bicycle. Many people like lo pro looks. I have also a lo pro Basso frame fixie with carbon front weel and Zipp Predator rear disc , it is apx 6,5 kg, it rides stiff and smooth. I ride it with tubulars and clipless on the streets, to shops and cafees, I enter with a bike on sholder, never leave it on the street or lock it. As you ride faster and pass by laughter turns into silent respect and little admiration or anger, pending on the particular people and not so much on the bike frame geometry. Any pics of Pinarello?

This is my first ever post because coincidentally I've just come back from a midday ride into town aboard my double-disc TT lo-pro (also with Mavic SSC)
It's a nice, warm sunny day (it's summer here) so I took the chance to try out some newly fitted bars...I grab a coffee, take a seat in the shade, absorb some attention/stares from a few passers-by and a tourist even takes a photo of the bike, which often happens when it's outI've got another lo-pro TT project about to start and despite the impracticality, I'm sure that once it's ready I'll happily ride it often, despite how dumb I'll probably look
Of course, my town is relatively small and quiet and short rides are all I can bear

I see two massive flaws with the premise of the question.
(1) There is an assumption that peoplee ever finish their lo pro projects. False.
(2) There is an assumption that bikes are meant to be ridden. Double false.
I've seen a few lo-pro type projects on the go here recently and wondered what you do with them when they are finished. I'm talking about restoration jobs not bunny-eared fixies.
My reason for asking is because I have a Pinarello prologo frame which i've had for a while but never got around to starting the project for which is unusual for me. My main concern is where am I going to ride this when it's done?
To work? the shops? up and down the street and get laughed at or worse smashed into ? (I live in central London).
I'm curious...
