• Me again...

Fork I bought on ebay described as,

"Good condition. Not been used much, have been in dry storage for a while. Work fine, very slight stanction wear (pictured) - is not affecting performance, no leaks. All carbon parts intact very few signs of wear."

...actually has pretty deep grooves worn on the left hand leg and after a <2hr ride today have lost +/-30psi from that leg since last night and are pissing green oil from the other (damping and lockout) leg. I've not ridden a suspension fork in several years so fork felt alright to me but a riding buddy who has took a shot and said the fork felt buggerfucked.

Is best practise to message the seller with my issues and see what they suggest or do I just go straight in with an 'item not as described' claim ?

Edit: I had to an item not received claim as they didnt turn up when they should have but turned out Parcel Force Farce had left them at the post office but hadn't bothered informing me. When I got the forks I fitted them, took them for a spin round the block where I noticed the legs being quite oily. I closed the not received case and mentioned the oil on the legs, seller never responded.
