  • The NHS might prefer to leave it as it costs them about £15,000 to perform the operation, but if you fight for it they will give it to you, free. I think it's worth it in the long term. It's only a night in the hospital, week or so on painkillers, month in a sling, and then about 3-6 months of regular physio which only takes a few minutes per day. Could get back on a bike safely after a few months. Screws the whole balance of your body not getting something like that fixed.
