  • There is also Mielec?

  • This has just been published on the London X League website;

    Transponder Tags
    Dear all, please return you transponder tag and number to LCCA at 61a Burns House, Doddington Grove, London SE17 3SX.
    We had considered how to return £5’s, but it isn’t going to be possible this year, however the more that are returned will help us to keep our costs down for next season. By the way it will NOT be possible to use this year’s number or tag for next season’s racing.

    @J.Dennis @owlz @biarittz @Howard @cupcakes @nathwilson22

  • Thanks for that @andyp Do you think can take them back at the Team Champs?

  • Dougie Fox, who's the organiser of the team champs has offered to collect them there. So yes.

  • this junior looks more butch than Stybar! World Champ Simon Andreassen

    women racing now. open and exciting race for once, thanks to Vos' injury

  • What a fantastic race. Really enjoyed that.

  • indeed! PFP looked extremely happy with her win. Nash will be kicking herself, she could have gotten 3rd

  • True, but it's how you deal with it when the pressure is on that marks out the great racers. She made at least two mistakes on that last lap.

  • going down twice didn't help, indeed.

    do not like the course though, very boring, not a 'true' CX course imho even though the worlds have been hosted there a couple of times

  • Is there anyway to watch the Men's race?

  • Yes. Tomorrow. Not sure if it's live on Eurosport, but the UCI are streaming it on YouTube and you can proxy in if the stream is blocked to the UK.

  • Oh its still the 31st. Oops.

  • Rapha cross ride tomorrow morning which finishes at the Rapha Cycle Club by 1pm to watch the Mens Elite race with a free beer (as long as they work out how to get around the geoblock).
    No need to sign up, just tell them I sent you ;) here's the info...

    Meeting place:
    Victoria Park, on the plaza next to the Royal Inn on the Park, 111 Lauriston Road, E9 7HJ.

    Time:
    9.30am for a 9.40am depart.

    Ride leaders:
    Joe and Will

    Ride details:
    Heading north from Victoria Park our route will take in as much hidden greenery as possible as we make first for the marshes, then follow the river Lea up past the huge reservoirs that provide London’s drinking water. At Ponders End we’ll cut east, where a short road section takes us to Hawk Wood and the route’s only serious climb, the 91-meter high Pole Hill.

    After catching our collective breath and enjoying the great views back towards town we’ll drop down into the forest proper. Amongst the old growth trees we’ll explore some of the twisty singletrack the forest has to offer, joining up the sections with some of the more sedate graded horse trails.

    Depending on time and conditions we’ll head towards High Beach before turning back to return towards East London along the Lea. Aiming to return to the Rapha Café for 1pm, the promise of a free beer and screening of the Cyclocross World Champs should help keep fatigue at bay.

  • I believe the UCI have reached an agreement with Eurosport which means the geo block on their YouTube channel is lifted for tomorrow's races.

  • Bollocks, I thought the next one was next week!

  • There's ones on the 14th and 28th as well. You can sign up for them on the London ride page already.

  • Think we'll see lots of the elite men hopping them - big advantages to be had accelerating up the hill.

  • hope so! halfway the U23 race I saw an Italian (?) guy jumping the first with a surprisingly massive clearance, but sadly landing on his front wheel with too much of an angle, toppling over

  • How on earth did Wout van Aert get all that time back? Sensational ride that.

  • World champ & granddad

  • Crazy that the youngsters have just wiped the older guys off the the map in the last 18 months, whats the secret.

  • although it's an exceptionally strong batch of former U23s that has joined the elite ranks I am amazed at this season's top 5s. baffles me as much as Nys' sudden demise
