I've sacked off all ideas of surround based on everyone's advice and I'm now trying to pick up some 2nd hand Tannoy Mercury M3s or Revolutions, some sort of Cambridge Audio amp and a CD player of some description - probably CA again to match the amp. Looking to spend about £150-£180 and I think I can get everything in that budget. Is that a good plan?
