Small, Quality '80's (Pos. late '70's) Frame/Bike

Posted on
  • I'm wanting to do a C.Record build, so I'm looking for a quality frame, ideally 1984-1986'ish, but I'd consider anything from the very late 70's up to then.

C-to-T 20-20½"/51-52cm, possibly very slightly smaller but no larger. Campag horizontal dropouts preferred as would solid paint scheme rather than patterns and fades but neither are deal breakers.

Complete bike might be an option depending on parts and price.

No dents, no rust (odd surface spots excepted), not requiring a respray (unless really nice and cheap to go with it!). Must be able to courier it.

    Either reply here or PM.

    Thanks.

  • Hi, Hmmm, had decided against Peugeots but that with a respray would be tempting. I'll get back to you later today.

  • Just been checking and complete, pretty mint Perthus bikes seem to go for £250-450, add a bit for the less common size. Also read that they brazed them rather than silver soldered so were crack prone, don't know if that's true though.

So I'll pass, but thank you.

  • Had a few PM's, by quality I mean more than low end, no name tubing, so more like Columbus SL/SLX, Reynolds 531C/Pro/SL.

  • Sorted, thanks.
