I've had a couple of questions regarding the thread issue and thought I'd share a bit more info about it.
Here's what I PM'd in response
"It doesn't really NEED to be done but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so would rather. The rear mech where it screws in has the first 2 or 3 turns of the thread missing where somebody had cross threaded it for a couple of turns before realising the error of their way. It still has plenty of thread to secure the rear mech and in fact is doesn't essentially need doing.
The place I'm taking it to are Colour-Tech in Dartford, they're the fellas who paint and repair anything bike! In fact they've got Ed Clancy's frame there right now for a repaint. They will drill out the thread and fit in a new one, probably a helical thread. It costs £35.
I'm happy to sell it as is for £300 as I doubt it'll be ready for at least a couple of weeks time."
