  • Are they any good, what are your experiences with them?

Their cheapness is making me think of getting a set to tinker and pootle with.

  • They're not great but I've done about 500 miles of pootling on my pootling bike with them on and haven't had any problems.

  • I've been using them for years, they're perfectly good training tubs, not particularly light but fairly robust and roll pretty well. They're not meant for commuting on city streets.

  • No bald spots then eh?

  • Only on my Conti Podiums, which are a bit matchy-matchy with the chrome dome.....

  • They are not always round though. A gator skin tub is not too expensive and is round, durable, puncture resistant and rolls pretty well. No point in these low cost tubs as riding a gator skin clincher is almost preferable, I very tried.

  • Seems like my little joke went flat...

  • I think i'll just get a pair anyway.

If they go bang, fizz or pop at least it won't have cost a fortune.

  • I just got one from decathlon for under a tenner.

Now on the hunt for some cement. Pretty sure decathlon used to have it ... anyone know who (LBS) stocks it?

  • Ah their site says they have the little zefal tubes for two tyres' worth in stock ... couldn't find it and the people there have no idea what they have.

  • shite tubs. tufo nuff said ^condor

  • I use Tufo Extreme tape and it works very well.

The 'extreme' is the one to get as they have plastic backing which doesn't tear when removing it - the others I've tried have paper.

  • Rally is excellent if you can find them around 15£ Done quite a lot gravel riding on them in Poland.
