i think they wedge some card or other material against the magnet in the docking station.
when the customer returns the bike it does not lock properly.
i got caught out once at salmon and rhodeswell.
they rode off on the bike i thought i had docked. laughing at me which was a bit bugging.
i phoned the customer services department. I think i got stung for a few quid on usage charge.

So kids around here (Tower Hamlets) seem to have figured out how to "liberate" some bikes. It seems to involve pulling really hard, or jiggling them, or a combination of both? It doesn't always work I guess as they never have enough for all of them and they're constantly trying on bikes after they're dropped off.
All they seem to do is ride up and down the small pedestrianized piece of road here, learning to wheelie them.
I'm not sure how annoyed I am by this.
