So, I think I want one of these. Where should I start?
My budget is ridiculously low, so I'd take the cheapest option.
I'd like 29" wheels, the possibility to upgrade to 1x9, disc brakes and no chain tensioner (if possible)Any options?
Maybe a used Kona Unit? -

On-One Inbred is a popular choice.
Maybe a used Kona Unit?
Or perhaps a second-hand Karate Monkey?

Yup get an inbred for sure
-

For some reason, Inbreds are currently £200?! They're usually close to half that price :-/
-
• #61
They'll probably go down again, on one do that kinda thing.

Inbred would fit the bill, but the slotted dropout ones with derailleur hanger are out of stock as it would seem.
Second-hand Karate Monkey would be awesome too...gotta check e-bay it seems.

+1 for an Inbred.
If the slot dropout with hanger version isn't available then go for the plain slot one and add a DMR hanger tug if you want to run gears.

There's chat about the sliding dropouts doing just that and of the geo being an acquired taste on a few forums.
Once Inbreds return to status quo pricing the Voodoo becomes a lot less attractive.

NOS Voodoo Bokor frames are still selling on eBay, here's a 20": http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=391037757318&alt=web
Same dropout system but 7005 Alu. Frame does have the proper graphics but this seller seems to 'shop them all out.

It's been ragged around various forests too, despite that demented saddle position.

I've owned a few On One's and IMHO their DN6 tube is junk; pig iron ! The frame is so dead, both in the material and handling dept's. The paint (is it even paint ?) is utter shite, Dulux white wall primer would look better and be more durable.
When they knock them out at £100 they are ok, otherwise it's better to shop elsewhere.
