I traveled to Norway and Switzerland with less than a month on my passport last year and there wasn't any issue.
Having said that, the passport office are pretty quick at turning around new passports. I did the "express" service at ~£80 and had a new one delivered within a week.

My passport expires in March. I want to travel within the EU in February. Is this possible or do I need extra validity on my passport?
