Good on you for getting ride of all the parts you mentioned. Will look really smart if you replace the crank, stem and wheels with either black or silver parts for continuity. If you go black replace seatpost too.
Give me a shout in a month or so as I'll be looking to get rid of my wheelset from my 2013 Langster - black hubs, spokes and rims!
This is new to me, someone put a lot of work into making it green. Now dubbed the 'Avocado' bike by my girlfriend. The frame is nice enough, Dawes 531 very straight and no problem areas. Original paint colour is the dark green on the top, but the emerald green on the bottom looks pretty rad. With the base colour so dark its given a lovely deep finish to the green, which is quite sparkly when cleaned up.
Sledness
I wasn't sure about Aerospokes, always wanted a Hed/corima set up on the back of my bikes but this is in good shape, get the impression it was new a few years ago. Tape on the rim (machined surface) is starting to come away, any tips on how to make a nice job if I redo this? If i get a nice idea on a set (looking to replace front) then I'll sack the aerospoke off and make most of my money on the whole bike back.
Planned Alterations.
Gearing is too big for my commute so want to drop it down (current 48x13) want more like 48x17.
Don't like the black cranks. Will aim for C-Record Silver + Silver Chain
100ish quill stem with pista bars. Aim for Nitto (anyone want this green steelman custom stem?)
Seatpost is grim, looking for C-Record but hard to find in 27.0 with enough insertion.
Front Wheel - get something built, looking for all black and shallow rim profile on large flange hub.
Just put a horrid painted black wheel on to see what it looks like. don't think I want something that deep.
Saddle pedals and bar tape so I can ride it this week.
Appreciate comments, ideas, and if anyone can supply any bits mentioned above!
Peace!
