I was really careful to make sure the logo was aligned...I just didn't spot that the hubs have two laser etched super subtle logos opposite each other, so I just didn't get to chose which showed up through the valve hole, and it ended up being the model of the hub rather than the brand. Galic shrug.
That's what I fucked up in my first wheel build. Forgot about the rotation/tensioning that moved the position of the hub logo relative to the valve hole. I'll try and remember that next time...
I found it really easy and satisfying as well. I had them in the LBS the other day for a chat and the mechanic there was seemingly amazed that I'd built my own wheels from a book I read and that they were correctly tensioned and tried. Wasn't that hard, really.
