  • Actually no - the front is just upside down and back to front lent against the wall. No valve holes were misplaced in this build.

    You can even see the logo through them...although it's the Pro-AM engraving rather than Goldtec. Ahem. That's a feature, not a mistake.

  • That's what I fucked up in my first wheel build. Forgot about the rotation/tensioning that moved the position of the hub logo relative to the valve hole. I'll try and remember that next time...

    I found it really easy and satisfying as well. I had them in the LBS the other day for a chat and the mechanic there was seemingly amazed that I'd built my own wheels from a book I read and that they were correctly tensioned and tried. Wasn't that hard, really.

  • I was really careful to make sure the logo was aligned...I just didn't spot that the hubs have two laser etched super subtle logos opposite each other, so I just didn't get to chose which showed up through the valve hole, and it ended up being the model of the hub rather than the brand. Galic shrug.
