Glad you for the bike back @snoops sounds like you got pretty lucky!
I keep my back wheel chained to lamp post below my bedroom window, and currently an on guard brute (16mm) on the front which goes through both fork legs and the wheel, above the brake caliper... Thought that was a good trick. The chain I'm using isn't the best, will sort something beefier eventually, but with the bike not being worth that much not sure anyone would go to the effort.
