Very little wiggle room there, assuming a 110mm PCD chainring you can't go below 34T, and Campag don't really do big sprockets, in 9-speed you're probably looking at the 13-28 Veloce.
Some major component changes are in order, if you want to keep the 9-speed Ergos then a long cage rear mech and a triple chainset plus matching front derailleur. Doesn't seem worth it when that still only drops you to a 30/28 gear, still less than 20% below the 34/26 you've already got.
MTB crank? Guess that would mean ditching an ergo.
The classical way was a TA Cyclotouriste (or Stronglight 49D, or even 99 or 80), works OK with the rest of the road group with something like 42/28 double, without the chainline and Q-factor issues of an MTB chainset.
