xcweather.co.uk forecasting 1cm of snow in SW15 between 6pm and 9pm.
That could make tonight's commute (and 5-a-side) interesting.
(They, like most other weather forecasting websites, are quite frequently utterly wrong.)

It's particularly hard to accurately predict whether the skywater will be rain or snow, I've heard.

Coming home earlier I was filtering down the right of stationary vehicles. Bloke in van decides to pull out right and disappear down a side street. I just about saw this coming and swerved around him.
Unfortunately I then looked back over my shoulder at him and did a really shit Meet The Fockers-Esq 'I'm watching you' gesture with my hand. So shit. Don't know why I did that. I've never before.
2/10.

Manage to simultaneously wear too much on my body and not enough on extremities this morning... Dripping in sweat and frozen fingers and feet at the same time.
Leaving work mostly remember the freezing fingers so wear liners... Now overheating everywhere.
No ice or particular cunty drivers either time though so 8/10...
Suddenly remember that the beach cruiser is missing a bolt I nabbed for another hub gear... Guess if it snows I can Ride the polo bike :-/

This morning I was worrying taking it essy due to ice, this afternoon I was taking it easy due to bizarrely greasy roads.
Really really need to sort my commuter bike cranks out.

Woke up with a sore back and knees (standard), took the train in... Think I got one of the last ones in as all the later trains seemed to be cancelled... Horrid, cramped... I'm knackered... 4/10

Took the bus from Archway - slept next to a comfy passenger. Thank you.

yesterday's weather was better than todays, but today I had winter gloves and liners, so hands felt better.
Looking forward to -1 frost conditions tomorrow, since I have all the gear and an idea.. -

The 3 minutes it saves me taking Old Street is not worth the stress of seeing a herd of folks undertaking HGVs indicating left every single morning.
Lovely ride other than that.
The traffic lights at the Shoreditch high street/Old street junction were out last night, everybody seemed to be dealing with it rather well.

Took the bus from Archway - Some pervert tried to pretend they were asleep while leaning on me.

Where was everyone? Hardly any bikes, lots of cars. Not too cold tho.

Had to take CS7 westbound last night. I forgot how many hero promuter weapons there are on it.
The junction on the north side of Vauxhall Bridge is hilarious. The red stops you for pretty much a full minute and they're all there in the box, justling for position. By the end of the 60 seconds they're so fucking twitchy, then when the light goes green they all push off and stare at their pedals because they can't clip in.
8/10, would roll eyes at again.

It's another form of shoaling. Pulling away from the lights like a glacier because they're trying to flick their pedal round.
It's one reason why I'd never go for anything other than double sided SPDs for commuting, it's just stomp and go with them.

Speedplays and do you mean CS8 @doppelkorn ?
It is hilarious both ways. I can kind of understand why everyone wants to be primary there; cars behave pretty douchey there.

Didn't check the weather and just assumed it would be as cold as it was yesterday. It wasn't. Way over dressed, so, to avoid overheating, I decided not to ride like a dick for a change. No drag racing off the lights, no chasing rabbits, no sprinting at ambers. Arrived calm, comfortable, and horrendously late, but I don't like my job at the mo so, frankly my dear, I don't give a damn...

You're a greengrocer?
-

Yeah CS8, sorry. @Greenbank I have one-sided SPDs for commuting, but at least the other side's a platform so if you miss it first time you can at least build up a bit of speed before the ol' flip 'n' clip.

Because I was "enjoying" a coffee at Starbucks. I couldn't really shout "DAS" in there.

Anyway.
30 mins of commute today. Quiet.
Cold brewing. Exercise program started. Not racing people.
Did chase an Audi driver who beeped at me. Caught him. Then thought "what's the point?". -

Nice gentle pedal into work this morning, fresh(ish) air and traffic wasn't too bad and nothing sketchy from the usual drivers on the road. 8/10

I've been loving the cold weather over the last few days. I've also been chased by dogs (!) twice this week, around Rocks Lane sports ground in Barnes. This has never happened to me before. This morning a boxer gave chase for a good 100ft down the road. WTF.

Is there a personal hygiene issue, perhaps they wish to lick you clean.
Have you dug out some particularly cheesey smelling winter gloves?
I experienced the same thing at the same place about 8am, though without the fall. Lost the back end but managed to stay upright. Will be taking it very cautiously there on my way home this evening. Water main has been burst for weeks.
