Could anyone please recommend a place where I can get measured up for a suit? Any where round London would be great. I need to send the details to my brother so he can get my suit made in Australia for his wedding.

How many mould parts are whacked together. This changes the grain structure of the metal.

In the final component, probably nothing. 3D forging uses dies which constrain the material in all 3 axes, so it permits forging to near-net shape on complex forms, which reduces the amount of post-forge processing.

Sorry if this or something like it has been answered elsewhere, I UTFS'd and didn't find nowt.

My girlfriend is after a granny gear on her road bike, which has a fine range of gears for normal riding, but last time we went touring, the hills were a bit tricky for her fully loaded.

She's got a 9spd Mirage rear derailleur, with the biggest sprocket on the cassette 26t. Front inner ring is 34t or 35t. What's the biggest rear sprocket she could fit without having to change the derailleur too? Or could she get a smaller front ring, like a 32t, to also affect the ratio?

Very little wiggle room there, assuming a 110mm PCD chainring you can't go below 34T, and Campag don't really do big sprockets, in 9-speed you're probably looking at the 13-28 Veloce.

Some major component changes are in order, if you want to keep the 9-speed Ergos then a long cage rear mech and a triple chainset plus matching front derailleur. Doesn't seem worth it when that still only drops you to a 30/28 gear, still less than 20% below the 34/26 you've already got.

The classical way was a TA Cyclotouriste (or Stronglight 49D, or even 99 or 80), works OK with the rest of the road group with something like 42/28 double, without the chainline and Q-factor issues of an MTB chainset.

You can go below that with a 33T TA chainring.

On selected cranks, with a bit of filing. Bear in mind that Campag compacts have the 5th bolt at 112mm, ruling out any possibility of squeezing one more tooth out of the inner ring.

The Sugino OX601D is probably the most expensive way of getting a really low gearing without an MTB Q-factor (external BB too);

You could just bin the outer ring off a FC-5703 and get the same effect (plus hollow cranks and better support for the big ring) for a third of the price :-)

Question for Mdcc. What is this axle mod I read Skant talking about. Turning a quick release axle to an allen or other type of bolt? Any more details? Ta.
