Thinking of changing to 650b on my kona dr.dew to get a bit more traction in the snow. If the frame can fit 700x35 tyres with mudguards and room to spare what are the odds of getting 650x57 winter tyres in there? Its a p2 fork on the front so plenty wide but I'm not sure how the rear would work out .Seems like @edscoble is the one to ask.
I take it you don't have any 650b wheels lying around to test? In which case, grab a ruler and measure the clearance where they would sit, should give you a pretty good idea...
