Yeah - there isn't a huge amount of difference between the SISL and SISL 2. They just machine a bit more of the crank arm away. You can fit the spiderring to the original SI crank which goes for around £170 in good nick - if you can find one. All the parts are interchangeable IIRC - they are all iterations of this, from 1992.
(although the axle on the Magic was 24mm)
Would it be worth it trying to track down some good condition SiSL cranks (not the "2")?
