I have a chip on my shoulder regards all this partly because we share our weekend and summer weekday training rides with other clubs, teams and (for the summer weekday rides) select randoms. And I'm a bit pissed off at clubmate peeps turning up in their "awesome new Castelli jersey from the wiggle sale"... fucked if I'm riding for them whilst they wear that! :-)
That sounds like formal training, so formal kit should be worn. Save the castelli for the coffee ride.
You might find these guys don't get out much, so feel they have to show off their new garms whenever possible, regardless of whether it's appropriate.

I think so!
Just out of interest do you know if Rollapaluza actually have this worded in their guidelines or anything, or if it's just... well... how it should be?

If you can't be pro, look pro, and all that.
