  • It is weird riding around in kit from a club/team that;
    a/ you're not a member of or ride for.
    b/ they're on the other side of the world (if they even exist).

    Is it? I like the idea of riding kit from little clubs around the world.
    But I used to go play football up the park in my Arsenal or Germany shirt...and I'm not German (& didn't play for a junior Arsenal team), I just liked the shirt. I wouldn't have worn my club kit up the park, that was for matches only. Quite a few of us played about in world team shirts other than England. Maybe it was a local village or 90's thing.

  • Would you, as an adult, go and play regular five-a-side (for instance) wearing the shirt of another team?

    I guess many would. I wouldn't. An I do find it a bit weird. I'm really not into celebrity or hero worshiping.

  • That's a 5 aside match though...how does that work? Plain clothing and tabards? But that's different from training.
    At formal organised training (LVV, HH) I only wear my rolla top as that is my club kit.
    But I see that totally different to informal training in Richmond Park or a casual ride with friends.

  • Eh? Team kit, pro or amateur, is fine for anyone to wear if they like it and aren't obliged to wear something else for a club etc. Just not Team Sky...

    I gave a friend an old Assos jersey which I thought looked nice, was good quality and would fit him well. When I Googled the name on the front it turned out to be some obscure amateur football team in Slovakia or Czech Republic (I think). But it was an Assos jersey in good condition for £10. And looks pretty cool. So meh.

    Agree that this thread is severely underwhelming though.
