Are you sure you don't mean low rise?

I hear very good things about the Denim Doctor, a mate of mine sends all his stuff up to him and he's very happy with his work...
He's a bloody fussy bastard an' all...

Nope, I mean high. They are really tight on the thigh/arse and loose around the waist they sit slightly higher than my hips

I quite like the ed80s. Though I wanted to size down to a 30 but just couldn't get them over my thighs, wanted a bit of a slimmer fit than the 32s. Was a bit frustrating but I'm getting on pretty well with them.
Low rise on mine though...

I was bought a pair of the organic Hiut (cheaper ones £130) slim fit for christmas and really like them. I'm a pretty standard 34 waist 32 leg with turn up. I may try a pair of slimmer, or 32 waist as the fit is losser, more of a straight leg than expexted, but seem very well made. +1 from me.

I haven't really worn them since I bought them, I'm guessing they might just need some breaking in.
@tom13back thanks for the info, I think I might look in to them a bit more; haven't had my Uniqlo ones for very long so they'll be fine for now!

Uniqlo have a new selection of colours in their selvedge range, older colours on sale for £19.90

I went for the chain stitched ones, they're really soft, that might be the difference.

If anyone one likes Edwin ED88's i've got a pair that i'd like to sell. 32 x 34, compact blue sonic wash. Worn once. I'd like £80 but I'm open to offers.

The one thing I'm tired of with raw jeans is that you have to choose between cuff or no cuff from the beginning. And if you cuff you can't uncuff later.
Decisions are steessfull. -

At the risk of flameage, anyone tried the American Aparell selvedge, they're 13.5oz, GBP120, tried a pair on today they were a nice cut but I didn't pull the trigger.

My friend, that does not mean they have a high rise; it means they don't fit your body shape well. ED-80s are a relatively low-rise cut.

How do they compare to Edwin's size wise?
-

.
-
• #1892
Depends which Edwin's you're comparing. IMO they're tighter than my ED80 and ED71 but Ive never tried the ED88 so not sure about that one.
-
• #1893
they fit more like a 32w
-
• #1894
Bugger, too big then

My APC in 31 fit more like a 34 after a bit of wear. I haven't worn them for ages because of that. Much wider than my ED80 which are 32 (and could do with being a bit slimmer tbh).

Yep, no idea what I was talking about, I'll put it down to writing about them before trying them on again! Popped them on again the other day and, as I've put on a bit of Xmas girth, they fit fine in the waist with a low rise as was pointed out by many of you. Bit tight in the thighs but wearing them on a couple of flights has started to loosen them up a bit.

anyone know if any other Edwins, fit like the Nashville (365B) ?
They seem to be my favourite shape.
Or any other decent denim that have the same cut? -
• #1898
well?

Can't you get the Nashvilles or Greenvilles anymore? That's a shame, solid jeans...

Taken one last punt on guffed-ins. Light japanese grey slim cut. If these don't make the cut I'll not be back. Will probs be having a clear-out soon. Gt way too many pairs that aren't quite doing it for me at the mo.
Who are we recommending to fix blown out crotches? Edwin Selvedge. Will be washing next pair more frequently.
