There's an interesting discussion to be had around what is medicine and what is doping.
I don't see any reasons why a pro cyclist can't take the same medicine as me for common ailments, as the performance gains are, at best, marginal. That said, I was very close to being prescribed EPO once, so maybe I'm not the best example.
