Tried to read The Bay on the bog,but I'm a slow reader and couldn't fit it into a single visit. Still, one of my favourites.

"I webbed spine shoots up from it’s back"
You fucking fucker! Fix it, before I send the London Eel Massive up there to fix it for you!

I pressed on. No mentions of fucking. 2/10
Just kidding. Cool Story Bro ;)

Many thanks, my Antipodean Editor!
Corrected.
( I did hint that the eel reminded me of a slippery cock - do I get points for that?)
-
• #2708
That's two of you English bastards I've had to correct in as many months. Lift your game or to the colonoscopies it'll be with you for 7 years hard graft.
Ok, in light of the eel cock and the self-harm, which I always appreciate, I'll give you 8/10. I'm docking points for calling us eel eaters.

I loved this.
There were a few passages - whether it was they style, rhythm or content, I'm not sure - that really reminded me of something, but I can't for the life of me remember what.
Either way - it was a great story.

Cheers buddy - I've written a few things in that rhythm now and I enjoy writing like that, for a change. As you say, it may be that rhythm that's familiar, or another writer that's written in a similar style.
I hope it's not the Da Vinci Code or anything like that!! -

Here's a new post for Friday!

This has been my busiest 24 hours ever as far as blog traffic is concerened, incidentally. Thanks to @cliveo!
Here's the post that's been getting attention, it's one I wrote a bit back about the Bradford City fire.
https://generallucifer.wordpress.com/2013/05/17/106-four-minutes/
It's not cheery reading, but with Bradford playing Chelsea tomorrow and it being the 30th anniversary of the fire this year, the story has attracted some interest. -

Some time I'll have to write about the time I finished my apprenticeship.
My reward was a prolonged violent sexual assault in front of the entire factory.
Happy Days.
Cheers everyone for the feedback on The Bay. A great boost and really helpful. Cheers!
