What are my options for classic drop bars with 26.0 clamp and single grooves? Preferably new ones.

Just waiting on the new bar tape to arrive but I'll probably stick some old stuff on for a test ride in the morning! -

New wheelset, HS and stem on my GT. Would really like to get the Pro maxs laced to thinner rims in the future but will do for now.
-
• #99134
So damn good, what rims are they?
-
• #99135
Cheers man, they H+son F30's

The inside of your fork looks like a lollipop. It's making me hungry

A cheap as chips build to get this xmas present frame going - had to buy one gear cable, a bottom bracket and the shimano 600 groupset, everything else was either parts bin or donations from far-too-generous forum types (thanks so much for getting this thing on the road). Took it for its first real spin yesterday. Bit hairy, but I reckon it's a keeper.
There's a silver seatpost on its way to me and I've got a matching rear wheel but I either need to somehow get an 8sp cassette on a campag 10 freehub or re-lace it to something shimano hyperglidey before I can go matchy-matchy.

That's fantastic, love it, although that is a Raphaclashing pink you know.
Will you fit some extenstions?
-
• #99139
maybe. If I did it'll take a while before I have the flexibility to use them. I mainly want this to be nice and fun and not precious - I felt quite happy pootling about on it yesterday in the damp, whereas the serotta hasn't left the house yet for fear of fucking up the expensive shiny things.
but it would be a shame not to TT on it at least once.

When you set-up the brakes with those levers, how does the cabling work? I might be completely stupid but when I tried I couldn't get it to work. Same levers on profile airwings.
Looks ace.

It works really badly.
Well, the front one is fine but the back doesn't have the strength to overcome the tight routing so takes a while to release. I probably did it wrong though. There's a long plastic ferrule on the end of the cable rammed hard into the back of the lever that you can't quite see, but blurry photo below shows the rest of the routing...

I wonder if something like this might help?
You'll have to dremel the ring on the front to allow it to fit in the levers but that's about it.

Flexible noodle? Quite possibly. Will look into it when I feel like spending money or improving things, but neither of those will happen for a while.

That's why on LES I installed the brakes reversed on the bars.Fantastic bike!! I love it... Makes me want to keep LES for the sake of it!

Been a bit of an odd journey for this bike over the last year. From this
To this. Less hip hop slave bike, more old man steez bike.
Using it for commuting and general winter miles.
Latest addition is the Ortlieb Rack Pack with Carradice Bagman QR
Next on the list is a frame pump then maybe a custom twin plate crown fork. Something like a Gangsta V1 fork I think.

Get the Zefal Classic HPX, none better than that.
-
• #99148
^^ That looks more like a full size duffle than a rack bag, says the Camper Longflap owner.
-
• #99149
Yeah, I looked at the Zefal but I can get the Topeak MasterBlaster at trade and it gets pretty good reviews.
-
• #99150
You mean that's not a duffle bag?
Can you send me some photos and a price over?
Cheers
