I ran 28s on Ultimate Al and had sufficient clearance. Can't speak to the CF.

No Integrated aero drop bars :(
Those were my favourate bit of the Whole bike. Cervelo made their aero improvements on the S5 With some silly looking handlebars*. So maybe they're more for the tunnel and buyers. I do like them though. Cool compartments for Your cables and DI2 Junction. Very neat.
(*IMHO increasing tyre clearance and front end stiffnes while maintaining the much the same Aeros was good work. But I Guess the numbers need to look good)

Dear forum. I am most of the way there with the decision to get an Endurace CF, 6800 groupset. However, I would like to fit 6870 Di2 to it, but an email enquiry to Canyon said this wan't possible.
Any thoughts/comments?
I am assuming this is because I would need to drill some holes in the frame? I faintly recall someone doing something like this to a Cervelo in Current Projects.

Endurace CF frame cannot accept Di2 because of the routing. If you want to take a drill to a new frame that's up to you!

Wait for SRAM wireless.

get a Di2 specific frame; look at those westbrook deals and others. Get Fm066 and put a few spacers.
In S2's case Cervelo actually has an official guide http://www.cervelo.com/media/docs/S3-S2-Di2-installation-guide-bbeedde9-7885-4006-a35b-ae536c326ddf-0.pdf

If you read the white paper basically the only improvements on the S5 came from the handlebars. Not to mention they did the wind tunnel tests with different wheels...
As for no integrated bars on Movistar's bikes, i think that's largely down to the nodderesque sizes of stem supplied in the aerobars. A 10 / 11cm stem on a size 54 / 56 is just wrong for most racers who want long and low.

As I understand it Cervelo used to spec Budget Wheels. So you could buy Your own aero Wheels to suit Your use, and have some training Wheels. Which makes sense. But fecked With the numbers for the Complete bike as spec'd. So for 2015 they added some Nice HED Wheels. Upping the price of the bike. But improving the published stats.

That's almost word for word the email I had from Canyon. Do you work for them?

I've got an older Ultimate AL frame I'm building - have encountered a problem though: the calliper bolt hole at the back of the fork isn't large enough to take a regular recessed bolt. Well, any of the bolts I have (all measure about 8mm at the point that would normally enter the rear of the fork).
Any suggestions as to what I should do? -

Please don't tell me I have to use a fucking traditional nut...
-
• #746
Thats weird - what age is your frame/forks - btw i have some spacers if you need?
You buy my AOS boots you can have spacers for fwee :)

• #747
Ha! I think it's a 2010 frame. It's weird, it's only very slightly too small at the back.. Tempted to have at with a drill...
