I really like the oak badge.
Can I suggest:
Scoble, Oak & Talbot, fiddle with bike since before it was cool
Excuse my poor grasp of scoblese.

"Drinking flat white and riding on 650B before it was cool".
Next couple of stuff to do is pump pegs on seatstay, tapped stem to allow cable to go through for the brake, and dimple the chain stay to clear the crank arm a bit more and allow a much shorter Q factor.

"Your skinny tyres make you look fat."
I love this one :)
dimple the chain stay to clear the crank arm a bit more
As told before, I ride a similar bike (at least the spirit is), and I have the same issue : the chain stay is not dimpled at all.
It is OK with my triple athena crankset and 26t smaller cog, but there is not enough clearance for shorter BB and cranksets with lower Q factor.
Did Talbot frameworks confirmed that it won't be a problem to do it on a complete frame ? -

have you thought about adding rack mounts? ;)

You know, I think I'll get a small decal of that on the back of the seat tube under the light, this is great.

Credit due to @CharlieTheBikemonger: one of his stickers read something like "Your 4x4 makes you look fat". :)

It shouldn't be a problem on a build frame, your only concern is the paint cracking from the stress.
-
• #1337
I guess so.
4x4 makes you look fat too.

That looks great. Powder or paint? Any more pics?
-

Paint, the Elephant NFE is all powder and build like a tank, whether this will received the special treatment.

Obviously my comment also applies to the oak, which is looking great too :)

Have to be paint, detail like those will look quite murky on powder;

Where's the front lamp going to go?

Seems obvious now you've said it.

Charlie's best sticker is "Hold my cider and watch this".
Are you going to go for that olympic bronze ed? -
• #1347
My original question was whether that Olympic bronze was a powder of paint finish in the photo upthread.
I agree with Ed that the oak needs a paint finish, but I'm still keen to know more about the olympic bronze that has been posted - I think it looks ace, and am considering something similar for a project of my own.

Olympic Bronze is spray.

Maybe, there's still time to figure the paint out.
I don't like bronze, but that dark shade look much nicer than I thought.
Silver and navy/black shade is on the card too.
