  • Also, I can now see why there's such a feeling of hatred for Rapha from some people.

I visited the Cycle Club in London yesterday and the staff were excellent, enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable both in the retail section and in the cafe (where I had one of the best coffees I've had in a long time) but about 80% of the customers (a number arrived at through casual observation over the course of an hour or so rather than scientific study) seemed to be complete arseholes. Rude, obnoxious a bit dim and quite sneery.

Is this normal or did I just happen to be there on some kind of arsehole open day?

Big props to the guy commuting in full Pro-Team gear though - winter bibs, softshell, l/s jersey, mesh baselayer, winter hat etc) and a backpack. Nothing like being prepared for a dry day in the city.

  • I've never had that problem, and considering how close it is to regents street I think its usually quite chilled.
Unfortunately everyone else seems to have realised it's a good place to chill and much like LMNHs it does seem a lot of people come for the coffee.
