Clacton-on-Sea Ride Saturday September 5
The distance is around 120KM, mainly flat

Fish and Chips, train back

Please only bring a fixed or single speed bike on this ride
(Road bikes by appointment only [pm me] - injuries, weak knees, etcetera.)

This is a casual, shorts and t-shirts ride to the coast with fish & chips and beer waiting

This is not a race, or a training session, or to be taken at all seriously, you do not need any special equipment or clothing

Given this is an annual ride can anyone advise me of the likely ETA in Clacton? Meeting family and a time would be appreciated.

Really depends on the group and if there are any problems on route.

It could be done much faster but we try not leave anyone behind (unless they are really struggling and need to be sent to the nearest train station).

Last 20KM along the Brightlingsea Road is at the individuals own pace so you could blast-off from there if you needed to.

Thanks for leading this ride. Great route, but shame about the weather for the first half - so much for a 5% chance of rain. Hope the delights of Clacton met with expectations and fish & chips was up to its usual standards!
