It's a stunner!
Looking forward to seeing it build up.
How much was it? -

Awesome, looking forward to this!

I approve the adolescence behind the want for triple triangle; I am over it .. kind of ;)

Very nice, Sure you don't want the GTB as well? Raw it and have matching track and road bikes. ;) Aha.

Stunning frame! Looking forward to the build!

Bit of a slow build, still trying to decide on what stem and headset/handlebars I should go for. Thinking of getting some grammo ahead stem and a black chris king headset.
Recently purchased fahgerstall's mizuno fork. Not really fond of the wound ups so decided against them. Currently have some veggie Brooks saddle and record Ti Seatpost. Will roughly build it tomorrow just so I can ride it..
But so far, this is how it looks.

What might you be doing with the forks?
-
• #10
Planning on using it on this frame. The rake is pretty much the same, tried it on a while ago. didnt see any much difference. will need to see how it rides.

Sorry I meant the wound ups

my brooks veggie massively disagrees with my ass. even brand new brooks feel better than the cambium. needz flite :)

Ah, I dont have one. I had somebody willing to sell one though.

So far, this is how it looks. Mish mash of brands there. Just a rough build to check the the ride out, have to say it rides like a beast and pretty comparable to my colnago master *which will be for sale soon*, so components will still be changed i.e. Stem/headset/bars maybe a saddle. Chris king headset and hopefully an ahead grammo stem
Thinking of taking off the decals, but still not sure if it's a wise decision. Was wondering if gumwalls would look good on these.. Just cant be bothered to change tyres. -
• #15
That looks ace! I'd put a black stem and seatpost but that all looks extremely tidy as it is.
And the decals look fine. -
• #16
Yeh, thinking of getting a black post and stem but kinda want to stick with the post I have as it's a titanium record campy
-
• #17
Lovely!
I quite like the silver triangle: seatpost - cages - stem; might look a bit "heavy" all black.
Although I'd be tempted to swap the black clamp for silver, to tie-in with the headset.
Could gumwalls be a bit busy with the silver brake track?
-
• #18
Aha, completely forgotten about the Clamp.
Yeh, you're right about the gumwall, wouldve been great on all black wheels
-
• #19
looks awesome, love it

cheers, was actually thinking of getting it painted after seeing that faded serotta that was done by mario vaz, just not sure if I should as I havent seen a GT triple triangle sprayed with other colour apart from Ti, black, or that american blue theme
@6pt's one.#
Of course not the same colours. -

Been looking for some Ti Seat post clamps. Might check the ones on eBay. Currently on the talks with somebody for an affordable CK Ti Headset for the price of a normal one.
Looking for a Ti Flite if anybody has one to sell? Maybe a 90mm Thomson X2 silver? or by chance an ahead grammo.
Currently looks like this, same as the one I posted above, but better photo taken. Amazing ride I have to say. The Ti Seatpost is really noticeable in terms of comfortability, or maybe it's some sort of placebo effect.
Would really want an all black wheelset, tempted to use some sort of permanent marker on the braking surface, not sure if it's a good idea though :p

I like the black shamals the way they are, maybe black spokes?
-
• #23
That means rebuilding the whole thing. Thats a possibility, didnt even thought about the spokes. Might actually go that route sometime! With silver hubs.
-
• #24
Are those bars cut down? Change to a black stem, and turn around the front tyre to get the logos drive side and it's done.

This would look killer with some slim Ti forks, a tidy Ti stem and post to match too!
Always wanted a GT... Always wanted a triple triangle, always thought of them as really damn cool back then... Always wanted a Titanium frame...
Bam! Saw an advert posted by i-am-iron-man for a GT Forte Ti which he posted 5 months ago. Surprised it still hasn't sold then... Was planning on buying AMAC's GT GTB until I saw this one and went for the Forte instead..
It's in amazing condition with no bumps nor scratches thanks to i-am-iron-man's buffing and installing new GT decals. The included edge fork aint in the same good condition as the frame but I'll be changing that to something more fancy anyway. For now, it'll do.
Was planning on building it with sram but decided against it as I never really got along with the shifting. Always used campy on all my bikes so I ended up going with campagnolo. Going to be a mix of chorus/super record 11 speed. Got some Silver hope pro hubs on mavic open pro rims. Still thinking of a stem. Not sure if I should use those ahead converters or stick with a quill..
Without further ado.. Here are some crappy pictures I took after I got it out of the box so I apologize for the rather bad photos.
