Yep, that's just what I need. A great big fuck-off cleaver. To cut noodles.

You will never, ever, get burgled with that thing in your hand.

very zen activity is cutting noodles
(modifying absolutes - can you even have 'very' zen?, is it like 'very' unique?)

A tangential story.. An old mate of mine, Steff, who almost certainly used to be here, cycled out to Surrey to watch some of the Olympic cycling, got to the entrance to the spectators area where the RAF were doing security. To his embarrassment and some consternation his saddlebag was opened and there was a leather an with a decent blade on it. The bloke doing security said to Steff that he was going to have to speak to my superior officer about this. Said officer duly arrived, sporting an RAF moustache that put Steff's in the shade and said "Well a chap would have to be a damn fool to cycle out for the day without a means to repair his machine, let him in"
This has always pleased me.

Yeah, that was an accidental phone post. I'd delete it, but you know.. You can't.

Bought a sweet new kitchen knife in Johannesburg today. Should be perfect for slicing limes for G&T's when I'm back home.

So what do they feel like?
-
• #641
So those Evercut knives can't be sharpened? I am surprised they don't come with a
knife block. -
• #642
Weighty but well balanced. Used both to make dinner last night and the chefs knife is lovely. No effort needed.

Finally heard back, they're sending me a new one. Not mentioned if I need to return the old one yet.

• #644

Fingers crossed they don't ask for the other one back...

I've got a dagger like that....I used to collect knives as a kid. It was rough where I lived :0)
Not really....but I always appreciated the designs. I've also got a real kukri, but unfortunately, no sheath for it. When the kids were small, they moved to the mancave, and are still lurking in the dark in there somewhere..... A nice small axe is on my lookout list for bikepacking this year
and their noodle knives are a thing to behold
