  • I got a 2012 Fuji Clasic and haven't looked back. I found the factory rims, hubs and cranks all have out within a year or so, so replaced them with some black anodised Archetype rims on Halo hubs and some Omnomnoms, and a Turbo saddle and now it does the business just fine and dandy.

  • *gave out

  • any ideas on if I can just swap the BB and cranks from the Fuji to the Dolan?

    Swap should go fine.

  • if anyones interested in a basic frame for track:

    Fuji 56cm Classic track frame.

  • cheers, yeah, did a lot of reading. Seems like the BB would be the only issue, but it's 10 (.5?!) so should be ok.

Will be upgrading the cranks at some point soon, so BB at the same time.

  • Picked up this 2014 Fuji Track Classic last week. It's completely standard and I'm absolutely loving it. My first single speed. So far I've added sks muguards (winter mode) and Durano plus tyres and removed the awful toe straps. I'll be looking at upgrading a few parts over time. Excuse the awful pic in a very untidy kitchen! Opinions/suggestions welcome :)

  • Nah, £25 more get you a brand new one with warranty and lots of brakes.

  • Fair point thank you, bit ugly though

  • Better value for money, idea for everyday riding with sealed bearing on hubs, bottom bracket, and a much better brakes.

  • I like the horizontal top tube of the fuji better

  • Too many choices, too little money

  • There's two choice, Fuji is a track bike with the most basic component, Charge is a road fixed bike with better component.

  • I mean choices in general, I want a fixed gear bike for spring /summer but stuck between wether to buy brand new / second hand or build a bike from brand new parts or second hand (possibly better spec) components

  • Can anyone comment on the Fuji Track Pro for a road bike? Want a Road and Velo bike, a two trick pony!

  • Unless you can find parts for very cheap (friends, etc) building a bike would be more money.

  • Looking for a track frame / forks for a pub bike / beater size
    52 / 54

    cheaper the better

  • Can someone tell me the weight of the Fuji Track Classic frame and fork. It's the Elios 2 frame, Chromo Steel.
    Cheers

  • Frame weight anyone???

  • Probably around 2kg.

  • That was my guess...

  • My Fuji track 58cm. It was my first propper fixed track frame. Here it is in its pretty much final commuter setup. Ultimately it never really fitted, so will be for sale soon as I have finalised the parts I'm ready to let go with it.
